Terms for using Git-Stars and its GitHub repository discovery pages
These Terms govern your use of Git-Stars, an independent website for discovering and evaluating public GitHub repositories. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

Some summaries and classifications may be AI-assisted and reviewed or structured by Git-Stars. We aim to provide practical context without mirroring full README files, documentation, issues, discussions, or social comment threads.
Our rankings and analysis can be incomplete or outdated because open-source projects change quickly. Always verify important information at the original repository before making a decision.
When you create an account on Git-Stars, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are compromised.
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, though certain anonymized or aggregated data may be retained.

Git-Stars offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis through our payment processor. Prices are listed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.
We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Git-Stars uses a credits system for certain features. Credits are non- transferable, have no cash value, and expire according to the terms specified at the time of purchase or grant. Unused credits are not refundable. We reserve the right to modify the credits system, including expiration policies, with reasonable notice.
Git-Stars editorial content, including but not limited to rankings, methodology descriptions, original analyses, and site design, is owned by Git-Stars and protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may share links to Git-Stars pages and quote brief excerpts for commentary or review purposes. Bulk reproduction, automated extraction, or systematic redistribution of our content requires written permission.
Git-Stars is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Git-Stars and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the service.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Git-Stars and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the service, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Git-Stars shall first be addressed through informal negotiation. You agree to contact us at support@gitstar-pro.com and allow 30 days for resolution before pursuing formal proceedings.
If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for intellectual property infringement or unauthorized access.
Git-Stars may display ads or use third-party services for hosting, analytics, authentication, email, security, and advertising. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
We may use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy. By continuing to use Git-Stars, you acknowledge our use of these technologies.
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through a notice on the site or via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of Git-Stars after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
